How do I get an assessment at CHANGEpain?

There are three ways to access our whole person health and pain services.

  • Ask your doctor to send a referral for our MSP medical services

  • Book now online for all of our allied health services.

  • Contact our Coordinator for Private Pay Pain Programs, private pay Medical Services or timely Multi-disciplinary Assessments

How do I get seen sooner?

There are two ways to be seen sooner through assessments not covered by MSP:

  1. You may book online book for an assessment with one of our allied health team.

  2. You may contact our Private Pay Services Coordinator for any of the following:

    1. Assessments to get assessed for specific private pay medical services such as Infusion therapy, Prolotherapy, Botox, PRP and Integrative medicine.

    2. Customized Multi-Disciplinary Private Assessment (MDPA)

    3. Participation in our 3-month pain rehabilitation program CPRecovery or 6-month Assessment and concierge services called CPPremium.

Access to our MSP-covered physician consultations

At CHANGEpain, your doctor sends an MSP referral.  When we receive it, your doctor is notified and we send you a consultation appointment.  Our current wait time for scheduling your first MSP consult appointment is about 6 months.

This appointment is ONLY confirmed after you fill out the emailed intake questionnaire. 

If the questionnaire is not completed within 4 weeks of your appointment reminder, your appointment is cancelled.

  • As a reminder, an MSP medical doctor consultation is 30 minutes and follow-up appointment is 15 minutes. 

  • Only one MSP service can be accessed per day but these can be combined with any non-MSP services.

  • If you would like longer time with your doctor, you may consider the private pay options listed below as they are part of coordinated services not covered by MSP.

Access to our private pay physician services

Our specialists offer medical services that are not covered by MSP such as prolotherapy, PRP, lidocaine infusion, ketamine infusion, botox for headache and myofascial contracture, integrative medicine/nutritional assessments and ongoing care.

For these services, consultations are $650 for 30 minutes. 

These can be seen on the same day as any allied health services but cannot be combined with MSP services with the same specialist in the same day.

Access to our private pay allied health  services

Assessments by our integrative pain service professionals (chiropractor, manual therapist, physiotherapist, kinesiologist, psychologist, pain coaches) can be booked directly online.

  • No referral required

  • Assessments are between 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the service required

  • Most consultations and therapies are covered by ICBC and extended healthcare insurance

Multi-disciplinary team assessments involving our pain specialists and other allied health specialists are available on their own.
